Members of the Lawrence Cultural Arts Commission will serve as the grant review panel to provide subgrants to eligible Lawrence arts and culture non-profit organizations to preserve jobs and to help fund operations, facilities, health and safety supplies, and marketing and promotional efforts to encourage attendance and participation.
Eligibility Criteria
The NEA’s enabling legislation, the Uniform Administrative Requirements (2 CFR Part 200), and the American Rescue Plan guidelines include requirements for subawards that are made under a federal award.
- The City of Lawrence must abide by, or implement, all of the items below if making subawards with NEA funds.
- Only State Arts Agencies, Regional Arts Organizations, and Local Arts Agencies are considered subrecipients eligible to subgrant NEA funds at any level. No other entities may subgrant NEA funds.
- Per City of Lawrence guidelines, only 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts and culture organizations or an arts department of an institution of higher education based in Lawrence, KS are eligible to receive funds.
