The COPS Office is committed to advancing work that promotes civil rights and racial equity, increases access to justice, supports crime victims and individuals impacted by the justice system, strengthens community safety and protects the public from crime and evolving threats, and builds trust between law enforcement and the community. For all Fiscal Year 2022 COPS Office grant solicitations, applicants should consider these priorities when applying for COPS Office funding to advance community policing and address these strategic planning priorities within their applications as applicable.
Under this solicitation, the COPS Office seeks to support and enhance existing law enforcement accreditation bodies to facilitate law enforcement agencies’ ability to become accredited.
