- Sustain and increase shelter operations; support renters/homeowners; mitigate impacts of gentrification and displacement; preserve existing affordable housing

- Violence prevention, interruption, and response programs

- Development of new strategies; advance work by Behavioral Health providers through gaps in capacity

- Expand recreational/cultural offerings in historically underserved areas; increase inclusive playground options; facilitate connections between businesses and workforce groups.
Funding Information
The City anticipates approximately $300,000 will be available for the Human Needs funding opportunity for programs meeting the basic needs of Everett residents. General funds are allocated annually for Human Needs programs.
Eligibility Criteria
- Only agencies who qualify for IRS 501(c)(3) nonprofit status may apply for funding;
- Priority consideration shall be given to those programs which apply requested funds to a direct public service rather than to the administration of a program;
- Consideration shall be given to the size of the population who will benefit from a program or service; and
- Agencies receiving human needs funding are not eligible for funding from another city of Everett funding source for the same program in any given year.
