The purpose of the Montana Land Information Act (MLIA) Grant Program is to assist state agencies, local governments, or Indian tribal governments with geospatial projects that align with the priorities of the Land Information Plan.
The priorities set forth in this plan help to:
- Guide the work of the Council,
- Identify the areas of focus for the Montana Land Information Act Grant Program,
- Guide the development and maintenance of the Montana Spatial Data Infrastructure (MSDI), and
- Provide foundation for GIS Coordination in Montana.
