Donor Name: Joplin Regional Community Foundation
State: Missouri
City: Joplin
Type of Grant: Grant
Deadline: 03/31/2023
Size of the Grant: up to $75,000
Details:
The Joplin Regional Community Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors, chosen for their knowledge of the area. Grant decisions for this program are made by the Joplin Philanthropic Society of the Joplin Regional Community Foundation.
The unique role of a community foundation is to conduct a flexible community grantmaking program which addresses the most important needs of the community at any one time. The flexibility this requires is made possible by charitable donors who established unrestricted or field-of-interest funds and place the decision-making in the hands of the community leaders serving on our Board of Directors as well as dollars raised by the Joplin Regional Community Foundation.
The Joplin Regional Community Foundation Philanthropic Society (The Phil) is excited to award grants to address priority human needs in Joplin, Webb City, and Carl Junction. The goal is to provide the seed funding to organizations that can build out current programs or create new services that improve the status of categories listed below. The committee will put weight in the final decision toward organizations that can share a vision and long-term plan on how they will address the identified problems and organizations that demonstrate collaboration with other community agencies willing to partner in the effort to improve community wellbeing.
