For the CDBG program, the City is seeking proposals from eligible 501(c)(3) organizations with proven professional experience in public service activities that benefit low- to moderateincome Lynwood residents. Basic eligible public services include childcare, job training and education, recreation, crime awareness, general welfare, health or drug abuse prevention.
For the HOME program, the City is seeking proposals from bona-fide Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDO’s). The primary objective of a CHDO is the development of housing opportunities for low- to moderate-income Lynwood residents.
Funding Information
The funding available for CDBG public service activities is estimated at $146,000 and for HOME CHDO activities is estimated at $78,000 based on the current year’s budget. Funds are available for a one-year grant cycle beginning July 1, 2023.
