The purpose of this NOFO is to help address and reduce income-based disparities in immunization rates and bolster vaccine equity in Medicaid-enrolled children, adolescents, adults, and pregnant people by facilitating and establishing engagements and partnerships between state immunization and state Medicaid programs focused on bolstering vaccine confidence and demand among Medicaid enrollees and bolstering use of the IIS. Collaboration with these programs will increase understanding of barriers to immunization for Medicaid-enrolled populations and improve immunization rates.
Strategies and Activities
- Facilitate and establish engagement s and partnerships between state immunization and state Medicaid programs to advance mutual immunization priorities.
- Bolster vaccine confidence, vaccine equity, and generate demand among Medicaid enrollees.
- Identify and support state-level opportunities to increase and enhance Immunization Information System (IIS) sustainability
