The goal of the Back to Work Child Care Grant is to provide economic relief to child care providers, with a priority for child care providers servicing children participating in the subsidized child care program and those in communities with the highest rates of COVID-19 cases, unemployment, or child development facilities with low enrollment. Providing child care providers with funding will help stabilize the industry and enable families to access child care as they return to work.

The total funding available for this award period is approximately $32,105,000. OSSE anticipates issuing one award from this funding opportunity.
Grant Period
The period for this grant will be three fiscal years, ending on Sept. 30, 2024, contingent upon the availability of funds and compliance with the terms and conditions of the grant.
Eligibility Criteria
- OSSE/DEL will accept applications from eligible applicants. Only not-for-profit, for-profit, community based organizations and faith-based organizations are eligible for this grant.
- Eligible applicants must have experience in business and financial management, system design, early childhood and a working knowledge of the District’s early childhood landscape.
