The goal of this program is to support clean energy and electric vehicle component part manufacturing in Jefferson County. Eligible projects must have an executed Reimaging Energy and Vehicles in Illinois (REV) tax credit agreement with DCEO. The intent of this grant is to fund capital expenditures incurred during the State 2024 (July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2024) for a rail spur, and upon approval by the Department pre-award costs may be approved.
The successful grantee will be required to report on the expenditure of funds related to the capital investment during this time period in order to receive the grant funds. The grantee must be able to relate performance data that supports DCEO’s mission to help strengthen Illinois’ world-class workforce and clean energy job creation.

- Total amount of funding expected to be awarded through this NOFO is up to $2,500,000.
- The period of performance is expected to be July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024, with an option for a one year renewal.
