Grantmaking Priorities
- ONLY 501(c)3 nonprofits, public school foundations and public schools are eligible to apply for enrichment programs that benefit elementary, middle and high school teachers.

Funding Information
- Approximately $32,000 will be available to grant each year from the Jean P. Fitton Fund to support professional development and enrichment activities for teachers in Monterey County.
- Grant Amount: $5,000 – $25,000/year
- Grants will be awarded for an 11-month grant period (December through October).
Eligibility Criteria
- Grants are open to 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations and public agencies.
- Only one grant application per organization will be considered.
- Only proposals supporting K-12th grade teachers will be accepted.
- All organizations applying for a grant must be current on reporting obligations for past CFMC grants
Grant funds cannot support
- Religious organizations that exclude services based on religious beliefs or promote a religious doctrine.
- Funding to schools and public agencies that would supplant tax-supported, mandated services.
- Expenses incurred prior to the grant award date.
