Proposals that focus on an additional service or address gaps in services within the required scope will be considered due to the present needs of the community. Service areas within each Scope of Service solicitation need to be addressed in the application.
The City of Gaithersburg is accepting FY25 grant applications from qualified not-for-profit 501(c)(3) and 509(a)(1) organizations to collaboratively address community needs in the areas of health and mental health, food and nutrition, housing stabilization Services, vocational services, housing preservation services, youth mental health, and services for seniors and/or adults with disabilities.
The City, at its discretion, may award a one-year contract, with a one-year option renewal for any and all Service Areas, covering Fiscal Year 2025 (July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025). Future funding is contingent upon performance and annual funding availability as approved by the Mayor and City Council.
Requirements
- All FY25 grant applications must include a specific outreach plan to focus on multilingual outreach and service within priority-need neighborhoods, particularly in the zip code 20877.
- All FY25 grant contracts will include a level of citywide coordination with any service consolidation programs created or expanded, such as the Gaithersburg Financial Empowerment Center and the Gaithersburg CARES Hub.
