Funding Information
Grants will be up to $5,000 per qualifying applicant.
Eligibility Criteria
- If the event or organization has received funds in prior rounds of the Community Event Grant, reporting must be completed to be eligible.
- The Community Event Grant program aims to support events that are welcoming to all Portlanders.
- The event must be located within the City of Portland. This program is funded by the City of Portland in partnership with Travel Oregon to support Portland-specific events.
- The organization/business/individual hosting the event must be located in the Portland metro area. This includes Multnomah, Washington, and Clackamas counties.
- The event must be held between October 1, 2023 – March 31, 2024. Please note: Portland Events and Film will host a spring funding round for events between April 1 and September 30, 2024.
- The event must be open to the public and open to all ages. If your event is held in a venue that has age restrictions, it will not be eligible.
- The event must be free or offer an accessible pricing structure includes a sliding fee, pay-as-you-are-able, or donation-based fee (scholarships or limited donation tickets are not considered an accessible pricing structure). Accessible pricing structures allow guests to attend events even if they are experiencing financial hardships and are unable to purchase a ticket.
- You must have at least 25% of the total cost of your event secured. The grant will only cover 75% of the event budget up to $5,000.
