Details:
Two selected organizations will each receive funding support over the course of 3 years to build their capacity and strengthen the support they provide to residents and neighborhoods.
- $206,250 for Staffing Support
- Includes staff time and salary expenses.
- $27,000 for Community Connectors
- Includes pay and training for 2 resident connectors to engage in outreach and network-building that supports community goals.
- $47,500 for Coaching
- Includes funds for an organizational development coach.
Criteria
- Be an active participant in the planning and implementation of the Southwest by Southwest Collaborative
- Be a Community-Based Organization that is based in and serves Southwest Philadelphia
- Have 501(c)3 non-profit status
- Commit to provide support in the form of leadership, convening, and/or advising around the following projects:
- Resident-initiated and/or community-based small projects (Early Action Projects)
- Southwest by Southwest Collaborative convenings and focus-group meetings
- Knowledge-sharing with other organizations to support capacity building efforts for Southwest-based community organizations and residents
- Supporting community engagement efforts in Southwest Philadelphia and with external stakeholders
- Partner with other organizations around ongoing developments in Southwest.
