Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED) and the Bainum Family Foundation have generously provided $500,000 of funding for the 2022 Nourish DC Grants. The Nourish DC Collaborative was created in 2021 in partnership with the Government of the District of Columbia.
The Nourish DC Collaborative partner organizations are Capital Impact Partners, CDC Small Business Finance, City First Enterprises, Dreaming Out Loud, EatsPlace, Latino Economic Development Center (LEDC), and the Washington Area Community Investment Fund, Inc. (Wacif). Capital Impact Partners is the fund manager and will administer the grants.

Grant Range: $10,000-$50,000.
Eligible Business Sectors Include
For-profit grocery stores, food incubators, corner stores, cooperative businesses, farmers markets, urban farms, food processors, food hubs, restaurants, caterers, and food delivery businesses.
Grant Uses Include
New product development, technology, equipment, real estate acquisition, construction, tenant improvements, cold storage, marketing, and more.

- Increase access to healthy food
- Create good quality jobs
- Registered and operating in DC for 6+ months
- Generate $10,000+ annual sales revenue
Eligible Business Location
Food businesses physically located in DC with preference for Wards 5, 7, and 8.
