Teachers and teaching artists are encouraged to collaborate on creative projects together to enhance the existing curriculum, or to teach a new topic using the ARTS.
The Florida Keys Council of the Arts is committed to ensuring that everyone in community has equal access to the arts and the fundamental right to express their culture through the arts. The mission of the FKCA is to advance the creative development and promotion of the arts in cultural community by providing excellence in leadership, advocacy, education and financial support for artists, cultural organizations, and citizens of Monroe county.
Funding Information
Artist in Schools grants are up to $2,000 each for artist’s time and materials on a reimbursement basis upon completion of an approved final report.
Eligibility Criteria
All the public and private schools, as well as the organizations in the Monroe County, that serve children ages 5-18, are eligible to apply.
