The Tree Grant is a non-monetary award that donates trees and cleanup supplies to be used in beautification projects throughout the state of South Carolina.
Project Period
The Tree Grants are awarded for one calendar year.
Uses of Grant
The recipient of this grant must plant the donated trees on public spaces (i.e. town/neighborhood entryways, parks, schools, churches) accessible to all citizens. Applicant must submit a landscaping plan and/or photos of intended project area.
Eligibility Criteria
Litter control organizations, beautification groups, government organizations, neighborhood associations and nonprofit organizations in South Carolina are eligible to apply for these trees.
Requirements
- The recipient of this grant must plant the donated trees on public spaces (i.e. town/neighborhood entryways, parks, schools, churches) accessible to all citizens.
- All grantees must participate in the litter prevention related Great American Cleanup of SC (GAC), held from March – June and submit the following reports: GAC report and Final Summary report.
