The Walton County Board of County Commissioners recognizes not for profit organizations play an important role in the community. As a part of the budget process, the Board of County Commissioners has allocated $40,000 toward an opportunity for assistance to non-profits.
Funding Eligibility
- Only one complete application per agency will be considered each year.
- The Agency must be available to all residents in Walton County who meet the eligibility requirements of the Agency; furthermore, services offered by the Agency must not be restrictive with regard to race, sex, age, religion, disability, or any other classification that would be prohibited by law.
- Funding requests must specifically describe how the Agency’s program impacts the health, economic, or social well-being of the clients served and the methodology for providing services.
- Funding requests must also include performance measures established by the Agency, and how they impact the health, economic, and/or social well-being of the clients served and how they serve a public purpose.
Eligibility Criteria
The Agency applying for funds must have and provide written proof of the following:
- Operating (providing services) for at least one year within Walton County.
- Tax exempt status under IRS Section 501(c)(3).
- IRS 990 Form (for most recent tax year) and a current solicitation license from the Florida Secretary of State (or if exempt, the exemption letter).
- Revenue and expense report from the prior fiscal year.
- Current year budget report for revenues and expenses.
