The Jackson Arts Council recognizes the risks involved in taking steps to advance an artist’s vision, practice, and artistic accomplishments.
The Creative Support grant program enables the Jackson Arts Council to demonstrate the value of artists’ work in the county by supporting working artists in their artistic practice. This program contributes to the vitality of the artistic community and helps Jackson attract and retain a vibrant creative class. Through this program, they honor the work of seasoned artist, advance the work of mid-career artists, and nurture the work of emerging artists.

Eligibility Criteria
- U.S. citizens, and residents of Madison County, TN for at least one year prior to the application deadline.
- 21 years or older.
- Individuals must be considered a Professional Artist for minimally two years. Individuals are at the professional level if they:
- Consider their artistic endeavors as a career.
- Make a significant time investment in their artistic disciplines through practice, performance and production.
- Have created and presented their own original works to the public or performed for the public within the past two years.
- The following individuals are not eligible:
- Individuals currently enrolled as a full-time student or planning to enroll in a full-time degree-seeking program for their artistic practice in the next 12 months.
