The YAPPERS (Youth Area Philanthropists) strive to engage and empower individuals (0-25) throughout the community. YAPPERS grants provide nonprofit organizations with the opportunity to strengthen their programs.
YAPPERS’ 4 Promises
- General health
- mental and physical health, including disabilities (abuse or addiction related issues /nutrition/counseling etc.)
- Stable living
- family life, neighborhoods, shelters, including for immigrants (safe environments at home/school etc., promoting eco-friendly lifestyles)
- Effective education
- Tutoring, after school/summer programs, specifically youth based
- Career advancement
- job training, education programs for adults, equal opportunity for all individuals (0-25), life skills
Requests for funding through the YAPPERS grant process should clearly demonstrate how the program:
- is designed to provide opportunities, and/or raise awareness for issues that local individuals (0-25) are facing.
- will provide opportunities for the community to participate, removes barrier, and promote inclusion
- improves quality of life for the most disadvantaged youth in their community
- leads to long-term, sustainable solutions
Funding Information
One-year awards of up to $3,000.
Eligibility Criteria
501(c)3 nonprofit organizations that have been in active service to the public for at least one year prior to the application. Organizations must operate in a manner that no applicable anti- discrimination laws are violated. Only one proposal may be submitted per organization.
