The Valley Community COVID-19 Response and Recovery Fund was initiated by the Valley Council for Health and Human Services, Valley Community Foundation, Valley United Way, and the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce in response to the Coronavirus outbreak.

Details:

The Fund will provide flexible resources to organizations throughout the Valley that serve the Valley region, especially to those who are disproportionately impacted by coronavirus and the economic consequences of the outbreak. The Fund is designed to complement the work of federal, state, and municipal government efforts and expand local capacity to address all aspects of the outbreak as efficiently as possible. There will be multiple rounds of funding.

Eligibility criteria

Grants will be $1,000 – $5,000 for organizations that meet the following criteria:

  • Provide services in their five town catchment area of Ansonia, Derby, Oxford, Seymour, and/or Shelton.
  • Be a 501-C3 non-profit.
  • Are working on the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccination process.
