The Directors are sensitive to the needs of communities, large and small, and look for mission statements that enhance living conditions for people with all levels of abilities.

The Foundation is committed to improving the quality of life through support of youth and families, health with an emphasis on prevention, arts and humanities, and sustainable agriculture. Preference will be given to organizations in Central Montana.

Foundation Policies

In an effort to promote good governance and fundraising practices, the Browning Kimball Foundation may limit grants of operational support to four (4) successive years. At that time, the Board may decided to cease funding. Browning Kimball Foundation grantees are encouraged to maintain a large funding base and not become reliant on one funder.

 Eligibility Criteria

  • It is a requirement that applicants have a 501 (c) (3) designation by the Internal Revenue Service.
