The Springs Close Foundation’s mission is to help support and improve the communities that once housed the textile mills of Springs Industries in Chester, Lancaster and York Counties of South Carolina.
The Springs Close Foundation currently is focusing its efforts and resources to provide basic critical needs of food, shelter, and emergency medical assistance as well as early childhood education opportunities (birth to 5 years old).
The Foundation follows a philosophy that resources are here to assist community groups and agencies with programs and projects that will contribute the most to improving the quality of life for the people in its service area.

Emergency grant requests that are $5,000.00 or less.
Eligibility Criteria
The Foundation highly values opportunities to support the 501c3 organizations in communities. Please keep in mind they are a project-based funder. On the application, you will be asked to breakdown your project by all the expenses involved and to list any current and potential funders.
Please consider if you meet the following qualifications
- Must be tax exempt under Section 501c3 of the Internal Revenue Code.
- Must be an organization that effectively delivers support for basic critical needs of food, shelter, or emergency medical assistance and/or effectively address Early Childhood issues (birth to age 5) in the Chester County school district, Lancaster County school district, and Fort Mill school district.
- If you have never applied for a grant, please contact the consultant that serves your area. Typically, for capital campaigns, they like to see other funders in place that support your project.
- The Foundation does not provide grants for fundraisers, sponsorships, salaries, individuals, foundations, or sports teams.
