Through the 2023 grants process, they seek to support up to five agencies that commit to entering into a highly collaborative partnership with Mental Health America of Central Carolinas to engage in community awareness and education efforts focused on:
- Mental health literacy
- Reducing the stigma of mental health diagnosis and treatment
- Encouraging community members to prioritize mental wellness
- Programs reducing barriers to access evidence-based, culturally appropriate mental healthcare
Eligibility Criteria
Applicant agencies requesting funding must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Be a 501(c)(3) organization;
- Currently provide services to Cabarrus County residents;
- Be willing to enter into close, collaborative partnership with Mental Health America of Central Carolinas and with other funded agencies throughout the grant year (January 1 – December 31, 2023);
- Funding requests must focus on one or more of the following priorities:
- Community awareness and education efforts focused on:
- Mental health literacy
- Reducing the stigma of mental health diagnosis and treatment
- Encouraging community members to prioritize mental wellness
- Community awareness and education efforts focused on:
- Programs reducing barriers to access evidence-based, culturally appropriate mental healthcare
