The Community Foundation for Northern Virginia has partnered with Micron Technology, Inc., to strengthen STEM learning through efforts to build knowledge, systems, and capacity in Northern Virginia by ensuring underserved students have access to high-quality STEM learning experiences.
Funding Information
- In 2022, the Community Foundation intends to award two grants of $7,000 each to nonprofits and public school systems in Northern Virginia that provide education, skills acquisition, and mentoring for underrepresented and under-funded student populations in the fields of engineering, technology, and STEM.
Eligibility Criteria
- Public elementary, middle and high schools located in Northern Virginia are all eligible to apply.
- 501(c)(3) organizations providing charitable or educational services in Northern Virginia (defined as the areas within Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, and Prince William Counties and the Cities of Alexandria, Fairfax, Falls Church, Manassas, and Manassas Park) can apply for funding. Local, state and federal government entities are not eligible to apply.
- Organizations are limited to one application per grant cycle. Multiple applications will not be considered.
