Community safety is often cited as a top concern amongst residents of Portland, Oregon and they know that building community is often one of the most effective ways to create safe spaces for all of them.
The Foundation are looking for organizations that are dedicated to gender justice and creating community safety through their work.
Grant Prioritizations
- The priority areas for funding are nonprofit organizations who have a focus on gender justice in their work and have a commitment to serving women and girls.
- BIPOC led and/or serving groups.
- Organizations with an annual operating budget of less than one million dollars.

Eligibility Requirement
- Must be a registered 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) entity, or a Tribal government program
- Must be located within City of Portland and provide services within City of Portland
- Programming and operations are targeted towards 14-24 years olds girls and women and increases community safety. Possible focuses may include (but not limited to:)
- Social, economic and environmental disparities
- Financial literacy, self sufficiency, altruism and intentional community building
- Conflict resolution
- Restorative, meditation and healing practices
- Mental health supports, shame reduction
- Mentorship, life coaches, positive role model and advocacy programs
- Sports, art & culture
- Academic or career training
