GRACF serves the charitable interests of donors who have established charitable funds as part of a permanent, collective, philanthropic resource for the current and future needs of the region.
The Green River Area Community Foundation is an affiliate foundation of the Community Foundation of Louisville, a tax-exempt public charity that administers charitable funds created by individuals, businesses and organizations for the betterment of their communities.
The Green River Area Community Foundation was organized in 1993 to provide the services of a community foundation to local residents and to begin building a collective charitable endowment for the Green River Area.
Funding Information
Funds are limited, and GRACF is unable to support all requests. Eligible organizations may request a grant of any size, up to $7,500 maximum.
- At minimum, around $7,500 total will be granted health and dental services to the poor and needy in the Owensboro/Green River Area
- At minimum, around $7,500 total will be granted shelters, homes, and facilities for the homeless in the Owensboro/Green River Area
- Approximately $20,000 total will be granted to nonprofits in Daviess County with a focus on Arts and Culture and Social Services
- Approximately $5,000 total will be granted to nonprofits focused on serving the communities in Hancock, Ohio, McLean, Union, or Webster County
- Partial grant awards may be made.
Eligibility Criteria
Grants will be awarded to 501c3 nonprofit organizations working to transform lives in Daviess, Hancock, McLean, Ohio, Union, and Webster counties in Kentucky.
- To nonprofits providing health and dental services to the poor and needy in the Owensboro/Green River Area
- To shelters, homes, and facilities for the homeless in the Owensboro/Green River Area
- To nonprofits providing Arts & Culture in Daviess County
- To nonprofits providing Social Services in Daviess County
- To nonprofits based in and serving primarily one of the following counties: Hancock, Ohio, McLean, Union, or Webster
- Applicants may request grants for general operating funds
