Details:

The fund sustains the quality of life on Madeline Island through support of nonprofit organizations located on or serving Madeline Island. The fund provides assistance to these project types: educational opportunities, the environment, human services and historical or cultural preservation. The fund encourages co-sponsorship or co-funding of projects, such as by corporations, regional foundations, individuals and/or organizations. Projects receive priority if they help children and youth within the above areas of emphasis. Ongoing program support is a low priority.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for funding, an organization must:

  • Be classified as a charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or classified as an organization under Section 170(c)(1) of the Internal Revenue Code or have a fiscal sponsor classified as a charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or an organization under Section 170(c)(1) of the Internal Revenue Code
  • Be located on or provide service to residents of Madeline Island
