The Foundation supports projects that advance artists’ careers, educate youth and the public, or that express or advance social justice or environmental awareness through the arts. General operating support for organizations that carry out these priorities will also be considered.
Organizations and projects that fit the above guidelines are invited to submit a Letter of Inquiry (LOI). After a review, the Foundation will invite applications from those who best meet the criteria.

Grants are usually in the range of $5,000 to $15,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- In general, they fund organizations and projects in New England and New York, or in locations where Wolf Kahn had significant affiliation. They are not able to fund organizations located outside the United States.
- In general, they fund visual arts programs, or the visual arts component of projects focused on other disciplines.
- In general, they do not fund academic journals, archives, or endowments. Preference is given for projects and activities that directly support an organization’s mission.
