Funding Information
The minimum grant amount is $3,000
What is funded?
Two types of funding are available through the Community Grants Program. Your organization’s mission and service areas as well as organization type determines what type of funding you can apply for.
- Unrestricted or Project Funding Options are available to public charity organizations with a service area within Chelan, Douglas, Grant, and Okanogan Counties and a primary mission within the arts, history, or environment. Unrestricted funding can be allocated to a mix of projects, programs, salaries/benefits, technology, capacity-building, communications & fundraising, etc. as you need during the grant period. This type of funding allows organizations to build and maintain operational strength and sustainability. Under special circumstances, organizations that are eligible for unrestricted funding can benefit from Project funding, but they recommend that you contact us before selecting that option.
- Project Funding is available to all other eligible organizations. These grants are restricted to use for specific projects such as an individual program, technology upgrade, capacity-building, capital project, etc. during the grant period. You may include indirect/overhead costs for your project in your budget to support organizational sustainability and strength over time. If your organization’s service area goes beyond Chelan, Okanogan, Grant, and Douglas counties, your project can be the work you do within these four counties.
