The CHEFA Targeted Grant Program is a unique, competitive grant program that will address demonstrated needs of residents throughout the state and have broad statewide impact in one or more areas of their agency’s mission focus: Childcare, Culture, Education (including Workforce), and Healthcare issues. This program is distinct from other CHEFA grant programs in that a successful applicant must demonstrate a project’s ability to have a substantial and measurable impact on a widescale basis for a broad portion of the state.
The Authority is seeking Letter of Interest proposals for:
- Programs related to Health Equity
- From organizations whose mission statement AND the program are related to Health/Health Equity

Your organization is being invited to submit an application for up to $250,000 and for a grant period of time up to two years.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant organizations must have current IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt designation, or be public educational institutions that are constituent units as defined in C.G.S.§10a-1.
- Funding is restricted to PROGRAMS within Connecticut.
- If an organization was AWARDED a grant in EACH of the past three fiscal years (i.e. FY 2019, 2020, 2021), the organization must take one year off from applying, and can thereafter apply in the following fiscal year (i.e. FY 2023).
