Funding Information
All awarded prize money will be used for improvements to a youth-focused space, whether it be equipment, aesthetic renovations or other upgrades. First place will receive $25,000 toward their youth space. Five runners up will each receive $5,000 toward their spaces.
Eligibility Criteria
Submissions are open to any Brooklyn nonprofit organization that meets the following criteria:
- 501(c)3, 501(c)4 or 501(c)6 tax status
- demonstrates a positive impact on youth in their community
- identified a physically defined space in Brooklyn that needs a refresh
- has access to their space via a rental agreement or ownership
- is allowed to alter their space, including paint
- has a maximum $1 million in organizational budget.
Please note that schools and spaces within school buildings are not eligible to apply.
