The Racial Equity Fund Committee comprised of community leaders of color designed the grant program. The committee seeks to support projects that address issues of racism and inequity in their community so that everyone has an opportunity to thrive.
The York County Community Foundation (YCCF) is dedicated to taking the necessary steps toward advancing racial equity in their community and one step is the creation of a grant fund dedicated to support meaningful, positive action to advance racial equity.

Funding Information
The Racial Equity Fund will offer grants up to $15,000 each for projects that seek to address equity gaps for communities of color.
Eligibility Criteria
Grants are awarded to nonprofit organizations, government agencies or public school districts. The following is the criteria for a qualifying organization:
- If a nonprofit, must be classified as a 501(c) (3) public charity under the Internal Revenue Code (this does not apply to government agencies or public school districts).
- Individuals are not qualified applicants. If a nonprofit, must have 501(c) (3) status for at least one year. Must provide services directly to York County.
- Must be up-to-date on any active interim or post-grant reports before applying for a new grant.
