The grant program criteria prioritizes creative solutions to expedite the recovery of the COVID-19 pandemic. Projects must directly impact one or more current challenges facing residents, visitors and/or businesses in New Bedford’s neighborhoods. Projects that advance diversity, equity, inclusion and access (DEIA) in all forms will be prioritized, as well as projects that limit the spread of COVID-19 by enabling greater use of outdoor spaces.
The Art is Everywhere! ARPA Grant Program is supported by federal award number SLFRP1067 awarded to The City of New Bedford by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Facilitated by New Bedford Creative housed at the New Bedford Economic Development Council, this grant program is one component to respond to the public health emergency caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Funding Information
Grant awards between $2,500 and $20,000 will be invested in projects from smaller scalable ideas to larger big ideas.

- Individuals, non-profits, community groups, and for-profits are all eligible to apply.

- Arts, Entertainment and Recreation;
- Childcare Facilities;
- Accommodation and Food Services;
- Personal Care Services (gyms, salons, etc.);
- Leisure and Hospitality;
- None of the above
- If you are eligible to apply, you will also be asked to answer the following Client Contact Information questions:

- Are you applying as a non-profit? (Yes, No) If yes, answer the following questions:
- Does your organization have 501(c)(3) status? (Yes, No)

- Fiscal Sponsor’s contact information: Company, Executive Director Name, Address, Phone, Email, EIN
- After you submit your response, you should receive a verification email from the NBEDC. After your eligibility is confirmed, you will receive a notification email to proceed to Phase 2.
