Through the support of transformative health initiatives that empower all individuals to lead lives of optimal health, self-reliance, and self-respect, the Pallottine Foundation of Huntington strives to foster systemic change and collaborative impact in their community.

Impelled by the love of Jesus Christ and anchored by His Gospel, the Pallottine Foundation of Huntington, West Virginia, will continue the caring legacy of the Pallottine Missionary Sisters for the Tri-State community – physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

In addition to our core priorities of food insecurity, mental and behavioral health, substance use disorder, and tobacco use prevention and cessation, the Foundation supports programs and services that address a wide variety of health-related challenges in their communities.
This support may include, but is not limited to:

- Mental and Behavioral Health Services
- Obesity Prevention, Nutrition, and Physical Activity

- Oral Healthcare Services

Capacity Building
Capacity Building grants are designed to strengthen the organizational infrastructure, management, and governance of eligible nonprofits. These grants are not about expanding an organization’s services, adding a new program, or renovating a building. The idea of capacity building is that improved internal systems will support improved and continued high-quality services to clients.
This support may include, but is not limited to:
- Board and Volunteer Training and Development
- Hardware and Software Upgrades
- Staff Training and Development
- Strategic, Marketing, and Communication Plan Development
- Website Development
Funding Information
The organization may request up to $50,000. The grant period is for one year.
Eligibility Requirements
The applying organization must:
- Be a nonprofit tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
- Principally administer programs providing health-related services.
- Operate programs that are compatible with the Mission, Vision, and Values of the Foundation.
- Be applying for a project that addresses a Capacity Building or Health and Wellness topic.
- Be applying for a project that can be completed within the one-year period of June 1, 2023 to May 31, 2024.
- Be applying for a program, project, or service that supports clients in at least one county of the twenty-county Tri-State region served by the Foundation.
