The Crown Point Community Foundation will consider grant applications for projects in the following Fields of Interest: Animal Related, Arts and Culture, Community Improvement, Economic Development, Education, Environmental, Food/Nutrition/Agriculture, Health and Human Services, Housing and Shelter, Public Safety, Recreation, Religion Related, Youth Development.
The Women’s Giving Circle (WGC) is a group of community-minded women who believe in collective giving to strengthen their community. All women are welcome! The more women involved, the greater the impact in the community. The WGC Collective Grantmaking Event is an opportunity to come together as women, learn about community needs, and award grants to local nonprofits addressing those needs. Attendees view video grant requests from nonprofits and vote to determine grant recipients.
Funding Information
- The number of $2,000 grants awarded is directly dependent upon the generosity of the women in the group – the more money collectively given, the more grants will be awarded.
Eligibility Criteria
- Nonprofit organizations providing services to residents in South Lake County (Crown Point, Cedar Lake, Lowell and Winfield) are eligible to apply.
