The Great Basin Heritage Area Partnership (GBHAP) administers a grant program in support of the objectives defined in the Great Basin National Heritage Area Management Plan. The Great Basin National Heritage Area includes Millard County, Utah and White Pine County, Nevada as well as adjacent tribal lands.
Federal funds for the GBHAP Grant Program are provided through the National Park Service and require a minimum 1:1 match. Grant awards are dependent on funds allocated by Congress to the GBHAP Grant Program which can impact the number and size of grants awarded to collaborators.
To be eligible for funding, projects must further at least one of the Great Basin National Heritage Area goals. Projects addressing two or more will be given higher consideration. Projects that incorporate the primary interpretive themes of the Heritage Area are highly encouraged.
