The Neighborhood Grants Program funding is intended to improve quality of life, increase public safety, and help prevent crime.
Program funding should support and strengthen neighborhood projects that will improve the neighborhood’s appearance, build neighborhood capacity, impact the environment, and increase the livability of the neighborhood.
Successful grant proposals will have a sustained positive impact on Omaha’s neighborhoods.

Maximum award of $5,000 per neighborhood organization.
Eligibility Criteria
- Neighborhood organizations must be registered and listed in the City of Omaha Neighborhood Directory, Organizations must have a valid Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN). Applicants must submit an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) W-9 form with their application.
- If an organization is using a fiscal agent, a W-9 must be completed by the fiscal agent and submitted with the application.
- Organizations having an outstanding final program report are ineligible for 2022 funding.
