The grant will help non-profits, charitable organizations or other entities interested in assisting low-and-moderate income individuals with programs that address housing instability in the community.

The Marion Civil Rights Commission is proud to provide this grant opportunity for organizations who work to serve Marion residents and provide programs that address housing instability,” said Angelica Vannatta, chair of the Marion Civil Rights Commission. “The commission is especially interested in using the funds to support new programs, services or activities.”

The CDC has stated that one of the major social detriments of health is having stable and adequate housing. Unstable housing can lead to many challenges in the wellbeing of their residents. The Marion Civil Rights Commission is dedicated to Marion being a strong and vibrant community that is welcome to all. Innovative proposals are sought from organizations and non-profits that have programs dedicated to helping those who are at risk for housing instability and/or address the ripple effects of that instability.
