The Indianapolis Department of Public Works plans and manages the design and construction of millions of dollars in transportation and stormwater infrastructure improvements each year.
Funding Information
DPW will award up to a preferred maximum of $500,000 per project, given a minimum 50% match by the applicant.
Eligible Projects
To qualify, submitted projects must meet the following minimum requirements:
- The project must be located in Indianapolis/Marion County; and,
- The project must be for construction of or improvements to public infrastructure—including roads, sidewalks, multi-use paths—located within in the existing public right-of-way at the time of project construction.
Eligibility Criteria
Non-profit, community-based organizations (CBOs) or towns located within Indianapolis/Marion County are eligible to submit a proposal. A CBO can be (but is not limited to) a community development corporation; economic improvement district; community center; neighborhood association; homeowners association; or educational organization (including charter schools, private schools and education foundations). Each organization may submit only one proposal per year. Projects within Marion County’s Excluded Cities are ineligible.
