Provide grants to non-profit organizations actively working to improve the quality of life in Muscatine County.
Funding Information
Impact Grants have a $10,000 limit per program. Final reports are due within 10 months of receiving a grant award.
A total of $183,928 is available through the Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine’s annual Impact Granting cycle from the following funds:
- COUNTY ENDOWMENT RE-GRANTING – The County Endowment Re-Granting Program provides grants to benefit Muscatine County residents from a distribution the Community Foundation receives from the state’s gaming tax revenue. Focus areas include arts, education, human service, culture, environment, heritage, and health. Up to $103,628 is available this granting cycle.
- GEORGE MILLET MEMORIAL FUND – A gift from the estate of George Millett provides grants to benefit Muscatine County residents with mental disabilities. Up to $7,200 is available this granting cycle.
- HILDA E. COLLITZ FOR THE HOMELESS– This bequest provides grants to prevent homelessness in Muscatine County. Up to $8,100 is available this granting cycle.
- JOE W. AND BETTY L. RAUCH MEMORIAL ENDOWMENT- This fund provides grants focused on youth-based community priorities in Muscatine County. Up to $4,300 is available this granting cycle
- MARY JO & RICHARD H. STANLEY HUMAN CONDITIONS SUPPORT FUND- This fund supports organizations working to improve human conditions in Muscatine County. Up to $50,000 is available this granting cycle.
- PAT AND JIM POWERS ENDOWMENT – This fund provides grants aimed at providing mental health programs and services in Muscatine County. Up to $800 is available this granting cycle.
- RAY HOCKERSMITH MEMORIAL FUND – This memorial fund provides grants for the benefit of blind, vision-impaired, or disabled children under the age of 15 to experience special recreational activities. Up to $5,500 is available this granting cycle.
- WEST LIBERTY COMMUNITY FUND – For West Liberty. By West Liberty. This fund was established to provide grants aimed at high-impact charitable activities for West Liberty, with a priority given to youth. Up to $4,400 is available this granting cycle.
Eligibility Criteria
Grants may be made to nonprofit organizations, schools, or units of government located in or significantly serving Muscatine County. The applicant may serve individuals, businesses/organizations, or communities, but individuals and businesses may not directly apply for a grant.
