The goal of this funding opportunity is to support small budget BIDs and SADs to build organizational capacity and increase efficiency of small nonprofit organizations.
Citywide Small BID Support Grants provide funds to nonprofit organizations for the development and deployment of technical assistance programs, capacity building resources, and back-office services for collective impact to provide direct assistance and support to multiple Business Improvement Districts and Special Assessment Districts with annual assessments less than or equal to $1,000,000.
Funding Information
Funding for Citywide Small BID Support Grants is available up to $300,000 for Fiscal Year 2023 (July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023).
Term
The standard term of Citywide Small BID Support Grant will end on June 30, 2023, with a contract start date to be determined upon award decision and based on the individual project proposal. Funding is contingent on grantee performance and the ongoing availability of program funding
Focus
The program focus will be on building capacity and increasing efficiency of small BIDs and SADs. Proposed programs and services could fall into the following categories:

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be:
- Nonprofit organizations that support place-based nonprofit organizations working in commercial revitalization; Incorporated as a nonprofit in New York State;
- Compliant with annual State and Federal filing requirements, including New York State Charities Bureau filings.
