The City of Lawrenceburg Youth Grant Program will be made to not-for-profit organizations for programs that directly benefit youth between the ages of 0 and 18.

Details:

Select programs/teams, those that allow participation of a few children when other organizations are available to offer the same recreational opportunities, are not eligible to apply. Half of the total funding available is allocated to benefit youth programs where 75% of the youth reside in the Lawrenceburg school corporation area and the other half is allocated for youth programs that benefit youth where 90% of the youth reside in Dearborn County. Applicants must provide the percentage of youth that reside in Lawrenceburg and the percentage of youth that reside in Dearborn County for their program participants.

An advisory committee made up of representatives of community organizations advises the DCF on preferences among grant applicants.

The Lawrenceburg Youth Grant Program does not provide grant funding for the following items:

  • Salaries
  • Employee benefits
  • Prizes
  • Trophies, medals and/or ribbons/awards
  • All-Star team uniforms
  • Coaches uniforms and
  • Referee fees, umpire fees and scorekeeper fees.

Generally, the Lawrenceburg Youth Grant Program does not provide grant funding for school sponsored programs/projects.
