To assist individuals and organizations with the accumulation, investment, and distribution of charitable dollars.
Grant Priorities
In general, the Foundation gives priority to applications that reflect one or more of the following characteristics:
- Develops or tests new solutions to community problems
- Improves the quality of non-profit organizations by means of more efficient and effective operations
- Validates the credibility of the organization’s (or project’s) community and/or charitable impact
- Facilitates cooperation and collaboration among organizations
- Strengthens the competitiveness of the region’s economy
- Encourages volunteerism, and civic and community involvement
Ineligibility Criteria
Normally, grants will not be made for:
- Buildings or equipment
- Unrestricted operating support
- Endowments
- Sectarian religious programs
- Fundraising campaigns
- The benefit of an Individual (broad support for a specific group may be considered, for example Union County Cancer Patients)
- Conferences and annual meetings
- Projects outside the Union County community.
