The overall mission of the Energy Division, as the State Energy Office, is to increase energy efficiency, reduce energy consumption, promote energy-efficiency and renewable-energy technologies, make energy efficiency more affordable for low-income residents, and to aid low-income households, especially those with vulnerable populations such as elderly, disabled and young children, with the increasing costs of home energy.
- Approximately $30,000 is available for the program. The maximum award amount is $15,000 per applicant.
- Projects must be completed within 11 months of the effective date of the grant agreement.
- Eligible applicants include wastewater treatment facilities in Alabama.
Applicants may submit applications under both this funding announcement and the Energy-Efficient Retrofits of Local Governments, K-12 Schools, and Non-Profit Organizations.
