Goals
The goals of the MUHR Program are to establish and expand programs to improve the reporting, transportation, processing, and identification of missing persons and unidentified remains, including migrants.
The MUHR Program augments the existing services available through the National Institute of Justice’s National Missing and Unidentified Persons System Program, which is a national centralized repository and resource center for locating and identifying missing persons, unidentified human remains, and repatriating unclaimed persons.
