The Hospitality Assistance Response of Pennsylvania (HARP) is a 501(c)(3) that provides immediate emergency funding to hospitality workers. Funded by private, community, and individual donations, HARP grants will be awarded to hospitality workers who are experiencing an unanticipated hardship (illness, injury, accident, natural disaster) within the last 90 days. The grant is to be used to help cover basic living expenses such as rent, food, medical expenses, and utilities as someone works through a crisis. Grants will be awarded on a rolling basis and subject to the availability of funds at the time.
Eligibility Criteria
- HARP Fund Eligibility:
- Worked in the hospitality industry in the current year
- Have experienced an unanticipated hardship within the last 90 days
- Work and live in PA
- Over 18 years of age
- Owner/Operators are not eligible
- Your application will include the following:
- Demographic information
- Employment information
- Documentation of hospitality employment
- Upload 2 pay stubs most recent employment (last 90 days)
- Resume is optional
- Statement of what happened and impact (max 200 words) – Note: This is not a COVID relief fund
- Submit supporting documents illustrating hardship
Candidates will be notified if they have been awarded the one-time grant. Grants will be distributed via electronic funds transfer to your bank account. Banking paperwork will need to be filled out upon being awarded the grant.
