Lake Havasu City applies for grants from the State of Arizona for various services for the citizens of community. Each of the grants may have different requirements. Below are brief descriptions of their current grants and what activities are appropriate:
- Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) – Currently being used for owner occupied housing rehabilitation including health and safety repairs. This is a grant and does not have to be repaid. Applications are also available in the lobby at City Hall.
- State Special Projects Grant (SSP) – Currently being used for owner occupied housing rehabilitation including health and safety repairs. This is a grant and does not have to be repaid. Applications are also available in the lobby at City Hall.
Applications will be considered in the following order of priority:
- Disabled
- Elderly
- Single, head of household
- All others
- Applicants with previous repair history
Application Requirement
- Applicants may be placed on a waiting list only if the following minimum requirements are met:
- You meet income qualifications (see income guidelines below).
- Your property is located within city limits.
- You own and occupy your home.
- You are current with your mortgage, property taxes, water bill and sewer loan.
- You have current homeowners insurance.
- Title to the home is not in a trust.
- Income guidelines: (Maximum allowable income for the entire household)
- 1 persons: $34,900
- 2 persons: $39,850
- 3 persons: $44,850
- 4 persons: $49,800
- 5 persons: $53,800
- 6 persons: $57,800
- 7 persons: $61,800
Types of Repair
Health or safety-related repairs (examples include roof replacement, A/C replacement, weatherization, etc.)
