Through this one-time grant, a maximum of $5,000 will be awarded to grassroots organizations: community groups, nonprofit agencies, faith-based organizations and others that are working to achieve racial equity and/or social justice for Black, Indigenous, Latinx, or Southeast Asian individuals and/or families of color in Dane County.
Eligibility Criteria
- Awardees must exclusively serve residents of Dane County, Wisconsin.
- Programs/services offered must work to achieve racial equity and/or social justice for Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Southeast Asian or individuals and/or families of color in Dane County.
- A 501(c)(3) status is NOT required to apply.
Note: All grant recipients will be asked to report a success story/statement of impact and photo(s) the funds provided in Dane County by January 19, 2024. (United Way of Dane County will provide a reporting template to grant recipients).
Applications will NOT be considered if:
- The applicant is a person. Only organizations will be considered for funding.
- The organization’s annual budget exceeds $50,000.
- The organization has previously been awarded a Micro-Investment grant for the same program.
- The organization currently receives programmatic funding from United Way.
Note: United Way partner agencies may serve as the fiscal agent to another organization.
