Details:
Middle school and high school student groups with at least one adult ally. The adult ally needs to be 18 years old or older and should not take lead of the project, but provide general guidance and support.

- Increase youth awareness around educational opportunities
- Reduce financial impact of youth exploring college options
- Build youth knowledge of the college application process and requirements
Suggestions of Youth-Led, College Readiness Activities
These are some examples of projects but are not limited to these examples. The City encourages you to be creative with your project ideas.
- Field trips for students & families to visit colleges to experience tours and other events and activities that occur on campus
- Group or class cost to host an Undergraduate Student Presentation
- Group or class cost to host a Personal Insight Questions writing course
Eligibility Criteria
- Project must be created and led by a minimum three youth members, at least one of whom must be a San Pablo resident. This will be the team leads. There can be additional team members who make up the overall project team. Youth must be in middle school and/or high school and the youth must be in partnership with an adult ally who will provide general guidance and support to the core group.
- Project team must partner with a supporting organization having 501(c)3 tax status to act as its fiscal agent.
- The project must serve a minimum of 15 students. Students on the project team can be included in the group of youth who are served by this project.
- The project must be designed to create opportunities to increase San Pablo youth access to college readiness education and activities. To qualify, at least 60% of those benefited by the project must be San Pablo youth residents.
