The Evelyn Reid Scholarship was funded in 2017 to award students from Freeman Public High School in Adams, NE and Malcolm Public HS. There is a preference for students with an interest in careers in nursing, other medically -related fields and teaching/education.

Eligibility Criteria:
To apply, you must be a current high school senior at Freeman HS in Adams, NE or Malcolm HS in Malcolm, NE or a first-year undergraduate from those schools, planning to attend a two-or four-year college in Nebraska. Preference will be given to applicants pursuing a career in nursing or medically-related field, or a career in teaching/education. The applicant must have a 3.0 GPA or above. There will be further preference to students not eligible for NU Regents or Susan Buffet Scholarships. Applicants may receive a second year of funding by submitting a full application the year after receiving the scholarship as a graduating senior.
